WORKSHOP ON MOLECULAR DYNAMICS

Challenges in Statistical Mechanics:
from Mathematics to Molecular Dynamics to Technological Applications

7th - 10th December 2015, Imperial College London

• The workshop will place a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches to Statistical Mechanics including Molecular Dynamics and in this spirit we aim to bring together researchers from different communities (Chemists, Engineers, Mathematicians and Physicists) to discuss recent advances, ongoing research activities and open problems related to Statistical Mechanics and its numerous applications in natural phenomena and technology.

• Venue. The workshop will be held at Imperial College London, South Kensington Campus, 170 Queen's Gate London SW7 5HF,Solar Room.


• Programme. The workshop will start at around 9 am on Monday and will finish by 2 pm on Thursday. Lunch is provided by the workshop. The social dinner will take place on Tuesday 8th at the Olives Restaurant.

• We strongly encourage participation of PhD students, Postdocs and young researchers. Attendance is open to anyone interested in the topics of the conference. While we don't need formal registration from people that would like to just pop-in for some sessions, it would be good for catering purposes if you could contact Michela Ottobre m.ottobre@hw.ac.uk in case you are planning on attending the full programme. Unfortunately, the workshop can only cover accommodation and travel expenses for the speakers.
