Staff interested in Information Systems at Heriot Watt

Prof Rob Pooley
has a first degree in Economics and MSc and PhD in Computer Science. He worked as a High School teacher and a systems programmer, before joining Edinburgh University as a lecturer in Computer Science in 1986. He moved to Heriot Watt in 1998 and has worked increasingly in the intersection of Software Engineering, Sociotechnical Systems and Soft Systems. He is currently working on issues surrounding the support of Micro-enterprises and Social Enterprises within the developing Digital Economy.
 
Jenny Coady
is a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Computer Science. Has a first degree in Commercial Computing and an MSc in Information Systems and Documentation from Waterford Institute of Technology. She has also taught on Information Management programs in Queen Margaret University. She has an interest in the teaching of Information Systems and development of IS Curricula and both traditional and modern approaches to Learning.
 
Tessa Berg
is a research student with a strong interest in Rich Pictures.
 
Eshrag Refaee
is a research student with an interest in visual knowledge acquisition
