As well as using general classrooms and lecture theatres within the Earl Mountbatten and Colin Maclaurin Buildings, MACS students use the following specialist teaching labs:
- XP Labs (Earl Mountbatten G.46, G.47, 1.53, 1.54)
- Linux Lab (Earl Mountbatten 2.50)
- PC Caledonia Lab (Earl Mountbatten 2.52)
Robotics Lab
The robotics lab is a teaching facility recently funded by the School to allow Computer Science students to work closely with researchers as part of specialist courses and their projects.
Beowulf Cluster
Our 256 core Beowulf cluster, and other multicore platforms, support High Performance Computing teaching and research.
The Learning Zone
The Learning Zone is a recently renovated student gathering area where our students meet to work on project assignments and interact with the equipment that our researchers are developing.
