Andrea Sneddon FIAA FFA

I teach courses on pensions and life insurance mathematics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

I am a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries (2006) and also the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (1996).

Before joining Heriot Watt in 2005 I worked as a pensions and superannuation consultant with Mercer in both Australia and UK, as well as for insurance companies (AMP, Friends Provident and Standard Life) in both countries.

In addition to my teaching duties within the Department of Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics I have acted as the Course Director for the MSc in Actuarial Science (from 2006 to 2009) and managed the Department’s actuarial exemption and accreditation arrangements from 2005 to 2009.
