I am the Undergraduate Admissions Tutor for the Department of Actuarial Mathematics & Statistics.

My research is focussed on Bayesian stochastic modelling and statistical inference in infectious epidemiology

Engaged in work on the interface between Statistics and various areas in Actuarial Science, e.g. critical illness insurance and models for heart related conditions
Involved in inter-disciplinary research collaborations with scientists in life sciences and engineering
Actively supervising 4 PhD students in topics involving statistical modelling in infectious epidemiology, actuarial science and interest rate models.

I am interested in supervising PhD projects in Statistics, applied especially in the areas of infectious epidemiology and actuarial science.
