I am PhD student in the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh . My first supervisor is Professor Phil Trinder and my second supervisor is Professor Bodo Scholz.
My research areas is parallel and distributed programming in functional languages. I am working as a research associate in RELEASE project. I concentrate on concurrency-oriented programming paradigm to build massively scalable systems that satisfies both requirement of scalability and availability. I am working on the Erlang/OTP platform and scalable data storage which also called cloud data serving. I have done some experimental work towards benchmarking the Riak database.

In this project, web 2.0 technologies have been used for designing and implementing a Front-End for a scientific publication platform by supporting the submitting publication file and appropriate meta data, editorial board, double blind referee, semantic ranking and role base user management.
Project supports categorization of content by using tag cloud and user tagging. It has employed web 2.0 techniques (such as searching, linking, tagging and blogging) to allow users to do more than just retrieve information. The project has been developed in J2EE platform by Spring framework.
