  • 2014 - 2016 (full time), 2016 - 2018 (part time): Lecturer, Glasgow International College (international pathways college for the University of Glasgow).
    • Permanent teaching position. I coordinated, developed and lectured the maths, stats and computing modules offered by the college.

  • 2012 - 2013: Graduate Teaching Assistantships in Mathematics, University of Glasgow. Competitive position, funded for 6 months.
  • 2009 - 2014: Graduate tutor, University of Glasgow.

My position at Glasgow International College had a large teaching and adminstrative load, including:

  • >500 contact hours per year, spread across 3 terms,
  • Lecturing large classes, of 60-100 students,
  • Teaching at foundation and postgraduate level,
  • Supervising postgraduate projects,
  • Coordinating teaching and development of modules and marking of exams,
  • Writing and marking exams, including standardising marking,
  • Developing courses, including writing course notes,
  • Chairing meetings, for example academic misconduct boards,
  • ...and other standard administative tasks.
