Alison Cawsey
I'm a part time senior lecturer in the School of Mathematical and
Computer Sciences at Heriot Watt
University. I previously worked at the Department of Artificial
Intelligence at the University of
Edinburgh, the
University of Cambridge Computer Lab, and
Computing Science, Glasgow University.
Reseach Interests/Projects
My current interests concern the application of ideas from language
generation, dialogue modelling and user modelling to the development
of personalised information systems. Recently completed research projects which I have led or been involved in include:
- Piglit (EPSRC and Scottish Office funded) on tailored health information. Followed up
with an ESRC/EPSRC project evaluating generated health education
booklets.
- An EPSRC project Mirador on generating tailored resource descriptions.
- An EPSRC project, DIP , concerning dynamic information presentation.
- Daidalos - A EU Framework 6 project on Personalised Services in Pervasive Systems.
