How to Write and Publish a D-Notice Writing a D-Notice
couldn't be easier. First see Andrew's An
Introduction to D-Notices on what D-Notices are all about.
Now armed with an idea or some work you'll need to write one. There
are two latex class files: dnotice.cls and dsg-notice.cls and a
template: dnotice.tex. These are contained within the tar file dnotice.tar . Make a directory for your D
Notices and extract this tar file within it. Use the template to write
your D-Notice and then latex.
To publish a D-Notice:
- Check on the web page to get the next number.
- Re latex your notice with this number.
- Put a hard copy in the folder in g41.
- Mail the group and let them know that you have completed a note and where they can find the postscript within your directory.
- I'll put a copy on the web pages.
