Help with font download.

Anyone wishing to use the MATHOS web site needs to be able to read the SPIonic Greek font, supplied gratis; available via the Scholars Press homepage: Click here.

You need to download the SPIONIC_. TTF file (choose from uncompressed, compressed and zipped versions according to your preference); you should also download the SPIonic.readme file for information on the keyboard map which should then enable you to type with this Greek font.

You should read and follow the instructions given carefully.

The page also features links to follow if you have any difficulties downloading or using the font.

Some may prefer to follow this simplified method of downloading the font (Windows):

GO TO : SP Fonts Home page,
CLICK ON : Windows  (link)
Index of /TC/fonts/windows (page)

CLICK ON : SPIONIC_.TTF (file),
File Download window open

SAVE  SPIONIC_.TTF (as True Type font file) to  [c: drive], windows\temp file
Toolbar: CLICK : START
: SETTINGS
: CONTROL PANEL
OPEN : FONTS
CLICK : FILE
: Install New Font
Add Fonts window open

Go to : c:\windows\temp
CLICK : font name (SPIonic)
CLICK

: OK

CLOSE : FONTS
CLOSE : CONTROL PANEL

You should now be able to recognise the Greek script in the MATHOS web site.

If the site has been left open during this process you may need to REFRESH the page by clicking on the appropriate button on your Browser Tool Bar.
