I have worked as a Computer Officer in the School of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at Heriot-Watt University since 1985.

Work Details

My work involves keeping the Linuxx Systems and XP Systems running smoothly in the School at Heriot-Watt University, I have extensive knowledge of Linux various flavours :-

        Redhat
	Centos 5.4
	Ubuntu
	SunOS4.1.3_U1
 	DEC Ultrix 4.3
	HP-UX 9.0
	Solaris 2.3

The Computer Systems Support Group, of which there are 2 of us, make sure the User Community (Students and Staff) have an extensive and robust Linux/PC Facility at their disposal.
