Pos-doctoral researcher at the Centre for Computational Neuroscience and Robotics (CCNR) within the Department of Informatics at the University of Sussex, England, United Kingdom, from June 2005 to September 2008. I worked on a EPSRC initiative multi-partner project called SECSE - Spatially-Embedded Complex Systems Engineering, in collaboration with the University of Leeds and the University College London (2005 to 2008).

PhD in Computer Engineering, focusing on Computational Intelligence, Bio-inspired Algorithms and Machine Learning, including Learning Classifier Systems, Artificial Immune Systems, Artificial Endocrine Systems, Artificial Neural Networks, Genetic Algorithms, and Robot Autonomous Navigation and Control at the Department of Computer Engineering and Industrial Automation DCA , Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering FEEC, State University of Campinas UNICAMP in São Paulo, Brazil (2000 to 2005).
