James Cruise

(Under Construction)

I am lecturer at the Heriot Watt Univeristy in the Department of Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics.

I studied for my PhD at the University of Cambridge, Statistics Laboratory. My supervisors are Dr. Damon Wischik and Prof. Frank Kelly . I then spent two years as a postdoc research fellow at the Heilbronn Institute in Bristol.

My research interests lie in the applications of probability theory to communications networks. Currently my main focus is applications of large deviations to queueing theory.

I can be contacted at R.Cruiseathw.ac.uk
