• To introduce students to the cutting edge of research in a topic in Information Technology.
• To provide students with an opportunity to create and deliver a master-class on that topic to their peers.
1. Investigate a topic proposed and supervised by an academic (1.1 Students on this course are required to spend the semester developing teaching materials on a, 1.2 suitable topic chosen with their supervisors. They will be supervised by their supervisors to research, 1.3 the area, which should not be one that they have previously studied in detail, and then develop, 1.4 teaching materials to enable them to teach the subject to an audience of their peers.)
2. Develop training/teaching materials (lectures/labs etc.) (2.1 This must be an individual project. Student must develop the materials independently. Student can look at existing teaching, 2.2 materials for inspiration but must primarily develop original materials and must appropriately, 2.3 reference other resources if he/she make use of them.)
