Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the following:
- Apply the principles of secure and effective communication over networks, including mobile elements.
- Explain the operation of current and proposed protocols for communication over networks that include mobile elements.
- Analyse the issues introduced by ad-hoc networking and evaluate common ad-hoc routing protocols.
- Design and develop applications for mobile devices, integrating wireless communications where appropriate.
- Implement applications for mobile devices using current application development environments, applying learned knowledge to practical work-based computing projects.
