1. Industrial placement (1.1 This course is an industry placement and the student will be line-managed by an industry contact. There are no taught components in this course., 1.2 NOTE: This course is assessed by continuous assessment, and courses F21IA, F21IB, F21IC and F21ID are synoptic courses with this assessment/course.)

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, students should be able to do the following:

develop a detailed plan of a significant project
manage the time and effort involved in planning of an industrially based project
identify distinctive features of industrial placements
identify, define, and analyse alternative project scenarios
