To develop an industrial project.

Syllabus

1. Industrial Placement involving design, evaluation, critical assessment, software engineering, refinement (1.1 This course is an industry placement and the student will be line-managed by an industry contact. There are no taught components in this course., 1.2 NOTE: This course is assessed by continuous assessment, and courses F21IA, F21IC and F21ID are synoptic courses with this assessment/course.)

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, students should be able to do the following:

manage the time and effort involved in planning of an industrially based project
communicate effectively with professional peers and managers on technical and non-technical issues related to the project
perform project-related tasks under guidance in a peer relationship with qualified practitioners
critically evaluate and act on information from a range of sources when evaluating alternative software development scenarios
