Aims

• To apply and increase students' specialist knowledge in Robotics, Autonomous Systems (RAS) and AI and enhance their design and group-working skills through a major group project, based on a real-world problem supplied by industry. • To enable students to reinforce their broad knowledge of RAS and AI, as well as, their specific PhD area topic through a practical application. • To challenge students in design and implementation and to compete as a team. • To develop technical, personal and communication/writen skills and prepare students for working on their PhD topics and for their future role, be it in industry or academia. • To raise student awareness of enterprise/entrepreneurship in group projects within Robotics/Computer Science/Engineering disciplines. • To further develop and demonstrate self-discipline and self-motivation. • To raise student awareness of responsible research, time management, deadlines/deliverables and project planning issues.
