A broad knowledge and understanding of requirements gathering, design theory and techniques in interaction design.
An introduction to commonly used design techniques and pattern for user interfaces.
A selection of routine skills and methods involved in working with users.

1. Problem Space and Task Analysis

3. Prototyping and Research
4. Usability and User Experience (UX)
5. Testing and evaluation with end-users
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the following:
- review and critically analyse interaction design concepts in interactive systems.
- employ relevant processes to meet ethical and legal responsibilities within the discipline .
- propose effective designs for user interfaces with respect to user requirements and user experience.
- design feasible and practical solutions based on user interface design patterns.
- evaluate the effectiveness of user interfaces.
- recognize own strengths and weaknesses, and what is possible within time constraints.
- give and receive constructive criticism.
