Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the following:
- distinguish between Data, Information and Knowledge to appreciate the links between them and the role of each one in organisations
- define and explain a range of principles in the theory of Knowledge Management in relation to their deployment in organisations
- evaluate the impact of the introduction of Knowledge Management programmes in organisations through case studies
- explain the concept of the Learning Organisation to illustrate how it can deliver competitive advantage
- compare and contrast methods for developing strategies for Knowledge Management in organisations
- evaluate the contribution of knowledge and IT in organisations to assess competitive advantage within the context of those two parameters.
