2. Link level communications, data transparency, error detection, sliding window protocols.

3. Network layer protocols, IP, ICMP Network routing Routers

4. Transport protocols, TCP, UDP TCP Congestion control

By the end of the course, students should be able to do the following:

CLO1: Explain essential facts, concepts, theories, and principles pertaining to computer network protocols.
CLO2: Recognise the necessity for formal specification and verification of protocols.
CLO3: Analys the complexity of network infrastructure and its sensitivity to parameter choices.
