It was developed by\u00a0 <a>Jerry Wu<\/a> for his PhD.<\/p>\n<p>It contains 30 real textures of 3D rough surfaces  taken by the digital camera, with different surface orientations and  under controlled illumination conditions. There are currently 1680  images in the database.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Organization<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The image files are named according to the following format:<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #f6f6f6; border-top: 3px solid #0c3569; border-bottom: 3px solid #0c3569; padding: 8px;\"><strong> [Investigation].[texturename].[rotation].[slant].[tilt].[format]<\/strong><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><br \/>\nEXAMPLE: 0.an1.30.45.90.bmp<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The image an1 has been captured under the illumination  condition with the slant angle of 45\u00b0 and the tile angle 90\u00b0 at the  surface orientation angle of 30\u00b0.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><strong>Equipment<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>All the images in the texture database where  captured using the Vosskuhler CCD 1300LN digital camera (specifications  of this camera can be accessed via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vdsvossk.de\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.vdsvossk.de<\/a>).  This was used with a Matrox PC-SIG framestore. The light source is a  filament tube with a mask, which is fixed on an arm in order to move to  the specified slant and tilt angle. The general capture setup is  illustrated below.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Technical Information for the Digital Camera CCD 1300LN:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Resolution: 1280(H) by 1024(v) pixels<\/li>\n<li>Pixel size: 6.7 um by 6.7 um<\/li>\n<li>Progressive scan<\/li>\n<li>Interline-transfer sensor (IT)<\/li>\n<li>Active sensor size: 8.58(H) mm by 6.86(V) mm<\/li>\n<li>Electronic shutter up to 1\/100000 sec. (Image on demand)<\/li>\n<li>Effective dynamic: up to 1:2000 (&gt;=66 dB)<\/li>\n<li>Digital output: 12-bit, RS-644<\/li>\n<li>Frame system: 1050 lines<\/li>\n<li>Power supply: +12V, max 0.45A<\/li>\n<li>Lens mount: C-mount (2\/3&#8243;)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2><strong>Format<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>All the image sets are in various formats and in SCOPE format.
