Summary

The music

It's inevitable: when you want to be somebody in music, you need to release a DVD. And that's exactly what Pendragon have done with this. Aside from the live concert that was released before on the video Live.. At Last! Krakow, the disc contains the obligatory bunch of extra's: a recent and decent interview with vocalist Nick Barrett, the video of Saved By You (despite the cover's mention of Red Shoes) some graphics and and both a biography of the band members, and the band's discography. The concert was recorded in Krakow, Poland in 1996, and shows the band playing almost only nineties material (the only pre-The World track being Leviathan). Pendragon has developed into a fine live act, managing to perform their music virtually identical to how it's played on record. This is all rather well, except for the fact that that makes a concert recording, without antics or other goodies montaged into it, sort of unexciting, really. The musical content is what rules, the visual content is mainly just there. In case you want to know more about the concert, check out the review for the video, also in these pages. And for your information: the extra length is caused by the extra's, not by more concert footage.
