Department of Mathematics

We are part of the School of Mathematical & Computer Sciences at Heriot-Watt University and of the Maxwell Institute for Mathematical Sciences, which achieved excellent results in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise.

We are also part of the Scottish Mathematical Sciences Training Centre for PhD students.

We score consistently high results in the National Student Survey (NSS) for overall student satisfaction rating.
