The conference is being held at the Edinburgh Conference Centre (ECC), which is located on the Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh Campus. The Heriot-Watt Campus is 6 miles west of the centre of Edinburgh, and 4 miles south of Edinburgh Airport.  For location maps and details on how to reach the campus click here.

Heriot-Watt Campus Accommodation and Breakfast

If you have reserved accommodation on campus for VSTTE 2010, then you can pick-up your key from the University Main Reception -- location "A" on the Edinburgh Campus Map. The University Main Reception is always open, so arriving late is not a problem. However, late at night you may have to ring an external bell at the side of the reception doors in order to gain access.

Delegates have been allocated en-suite rooms in 2 locations on campus, i.e. Leonard Horner Hall and Robert Bryson Hall -- buildings "m" and "j" respectively on the Edinburgh Campus Map.

All rooms are wired for the Internet. But note, you will need to provide your own Ethernet cable to connect your laptop. Note that if you are a MAC user, and you intend to use your MAC for your presentation, then you will need to bring your own adaptor to connect to the standard 15 pin SVGA connector provided.

Breakfast is served from 7am every morning in the Main Dining Room on the Middle Floor of the Hugh Nisbet Building (building "N" on the Edinburgh Campus Map), which can be accessed via the University Main Reception. A map showing the internal layout of the Hugh Nisbet Building and the James Watt Centre can be accessed by clicking here.

Heriot-Watt's campus contains historic gardens, woodlands and a loch -- perfect for walking and jogging -- route maps will be provided in your delegate pack.
