Getting to the Workshop

Timing

You should aim to arrive on the afternoon or early evening of Tuesday 21st August. Dinner is provided that evening, and the workshop starts promptly on Wednesday morning. You should aim to leave late afternoon on Friday 24th August. Lunch is provided on the 24th, but not dinner.

Train

There are frequent train services to Stirling from Edinburgh Waverly/Haymarket and Glasgow Queen Street Railway Stations. From Stirling Railway Station you can either catch a taxi, or from Stirling Bus Station (next to the railway station) catch a bus (numbers 51, 52, 53 or 81) to the University of Stirling campus, 3km away near Bridge of Allan.

Aeroplane

There are frequent flights into both Edinburgh and Glasgow Airports. From Edinburgh Airport, catch the Airport Bus to Haymarket Railway Station for the train to Stirling (Allow 2 hours). From Glasgow Airport, catch the Airport Bus to Queen Street Station for the train to Stirling, as above (Allow 2.5 hours).

Car

From the East of the UK, North to Edinburgh and follow A720 Edinburgh City Bypass West, then M9 to Junction 11, Bridge of Allan. From the West of the UK, North on M6/M74 then M73, A80, M80, M9 to Junction 11, Bridge of Allan. From Junction 11 on the M9, follow the A9 South to the University of Stirling.
