HRI2015 Workshop

Submissions

We will accept full and short paper submission after they have passed a peer-review process.

Full papers

All full-paper for the Workshop must be submitted in PDF format and conform to ACM SIG Proceedings specifications.
Templates are available for Word, Word Perfect and LaTeX2e.
All submissions must use only “Type 1” (scalable) fonts (not bitmapped fonts).
Page limit is 8 pages (including figures and references).
Accepted publications will be published on our workshop web page. Depending on the overall quality of the contributions, we might consider proposing a Special Issue to journal in the near future. Authors will have the option of opting out from including their papers in the website. Information on the opt-out option will be provided along with the acceptance notice for the papers.
In addition to the submission participants have to answer one of the following questions:
  • How should cognitive research be structured to yield results useful for robotics and HRI?
  • How can robotics have a direct influence on neuroscience and cognitive psychology aimed at interaction studies?
  • Does a robot really need cognition to be perceived as a cognitive agent by a human?
  • Does inserting a cognitive agent into an interaction pose a risk to the human partners?
  • How important is the embodiment of a robot for the development of its cognitive architecture and its social cognition?
Upon available time, those questions/answers will be used to "drive" a final discussion.

Short papers

Short-paper will be accepted in the format of 2 pages, following the same guidelines as the full papers – templates are available for MS Word and LaTeX2e.

All papers for the Workshop must be submitted in PDF format by email to HRI2015Workshop (at) gmail.com .
