Pervasive Systems

My research is primarily in the area of pervasive/ubiquitous computing and smart spaces. I am particularly interested in exploring new ways of personalising such systems to meet users' needs via adaptation and pro-activity. My work is funded through the EU FP6 and FP7 projects
DAIDALOS, PERSIST and SOCIETIES. PhD student Yanguo Jing developed an intelligent interface agent architecture for personalising large complex systems based on models of user intent. PhD students Sarah Gallacher and Eliza Papadopoulou investigated further aspects of personalisation - learning user preferences and protecting user privacy in personalised pervasive systems.
