Who am I?
I am a software engineer and academic researcher with interest in management and development of Research Information systems (RIs), digital libraries, e-publishing and federated searching.
At the moment I am the manager for the TechXtra service.
I am also the project manager for the journaTOCs-API project and the web developer for
the Bayesian Feed Filter project,
both projects are funded by the JISC Rapid Innovation Programme. In addition I am the Principal Investigator for
the European Digital Library Project WP 3.3 (Europeana).
Until recently, I have been the technical manager for both
the ticTOCs (Current Awareness service using RSS) and the
Gold Dust (profiling users with text mining techniques) projects.
I am member of the European euroCRIS association. I have also been involved with assisting to implement
interoperability and metadata standards for the scholarly publisher
Inderscience Publishers Ltd as part of various R & D joint projects.
I was member of the JISC Emerge Community.

a free service which can help you find articles, books, the best
websites, the latest industry news, job announcements, technical
reports, technical data, full text eprints, the latest research,
teaching and learning resources and more, in engineering, mathematics
and computing. 
ticTOCs
is a free service to enable academics and researchers, without
having to understand the technical or procedural concepts involved in
the process, to discover, view, subscribe to, and export standardised
journal Tables of Contents RSS feeds and their contents. A ticTOCs News blog is
available.
