Doing MEng Software Engineering
MEng Software Engineering Placement Information
The relevant courses for the placement are the following: F21IA Ind.Place.1, F21IB Ind.Place.2, F21IC Ind.Place. Monthly Reports, F21ID Ind.Place. Final Report. These are synoptically assessed, which means you get one mark for all of these courses. The mark is based on your final report, and your internship diary. Assessment is done jointly by your (industrial) line manager and (academic) placement coordinator. For more detail see the FAQ page.

Completing an MEng Software Engineering Placement
When finishing your placement, you need to complete the following 3 documents (typically to be submited by mid December):
- A reflective summary report (template)
- A internship diary with weekly entries ( template )
- A marksheet, completed by your line manager (Marking Scheme for Summer Placements)
