Abstract

When speaking about the business models of bigtechs like Google or Amazon everybody at once thinks of big data and artificial intelligence. For life insurance these approaches are not yet so easily implemented. We discuss the main requisites for applying these modern methods also for life insurance and show first examples of their implementations in product development, underwriting and claims management. Recently, also regulators had a closer look at the changing business models in the financial markets and we discuss current hypothesis of the future of regulatory requirements and how to tackle those.
