This was a collaborative project with the Departments of Clinical Genetics and General Practice of the University of Edinburgh. The project produced online information and resources on cancer genetic screening, a computerised family tree drawing and genetic risk analysis program and a family tree object-orientated database.

Funding: Chief Scientist Office of the Scottish Executive to the value of £165,000.

 

Prof. Patrik O'Brian Holt who was PI on the SCANweb, genISYS and BAE projects is now Research Professor in the School of Computing at Robert Gordon University, and Director of the Computational Systems Joint Research Institute, which is part of the Northern Research Partnership (NRP) and he leads the Cognitive Engineering Research Group in the School of Computing.
