Robert Weston's Research Interests

My research expertise is in the field of quantum integrable systems.
This is a broad field which overlaps with and impacts
on areas as diverse as quantum groups, quantum field theory, string
theory, solvable lattice models and  condensed matter physics. Over
the last 15 years it has produced a wealth of new results in all of these
areas, and serves as a model for the benefits of cross-fertilisation
between theoretical physics and pure mathematics. My recent work
focuses on solvable lattice models and in particular their analysis in
terms of infinite-dimensional symmetry algebras.
I am a member of the Edinburgh Mathematical Physics Group.
