Cancel the first 8 stripes on the blue ticket ("Streifenkarte") which can be purchased from an automat by punching the blue botton, the pay with coins, 5,-- euro or 10,-- euro bill.

From the main train station (We recommend the use of the public transports):

When you are at the University station, please use the exit "Schellingstraße". Upstairs the Ludwigstraße takes course on your left hand side and you have to turn right into the next street, the Schellingstraße. This street you have to go along until the next crossing, where you have to turn left into the Amalienstraße, which is already the street, where is situated the IBZ. From there you have to go only a few metres on the left side (you pass a book shop, some coffeehouses and a brick-lined building) and you are already in front of the IBZ.
