Internet Facilities
Two computer rooms will be open for ESSLLI
participants for free internet access. These rooms, EM G.46
and EM G.47, are located in the school site (number 2 on the
campus map). There will be no
internet WIFI connection in the school site. The university
WIFI network provides an access restricted to the
University's intranet. A free WIFI internet
connection is accessible at the Heriot-Watt University Student
Association (letter J on the campus map).

Catering Facilities
The University offers a choice of catering. There are two
self-service options and a general store which is open every
day.

The Mezzanine Dining Room (letter C on the campus map) serves breakfast and
a range of traditional meals at set times during the
day. Opening hours: Monday-Sunday: 7.30am-9am
(breakfast), 11.45am-2pm and 6pm-8pm; coffee, tea and snacks
Saturday-Sunday: 9am-11.45am and 2pm-6pm.

Heriot-Watt University

The Microbyte Snack Bar (letter C on the campus map) serves breakfast and
also freshly made sandwiches, filled baked potatoes, snacks
and hot meals throughout the day. Opening hours:
Monday-Friday 8.30am-4pm.

Snacks are also available in the evening from the Lectern
Bar. Opening hours: Monday-Friday 11am-2pm and 5pm-11pm,
Saturday: 5pm-11pm; hot meals, filled rolls and
sandwiches 11am-1.45pm and 5pm-7pm.
Scholars Café Bar and Bistro is a licensed table
service restaurant which opens for lunch on weekdays and by
prior arrangement during evenings and at weekends. The
restaurant offers contemporary cuisine. Opening hours:
Monday-Friday 10am-3pm.
